Katy Perry is set to have intimate personal secrets revealed in a tell-all book by her mother.

Mary Perry Hudson is talking with publishers about a book in which she questions some of her famous daughter's career choices. Hudson, who runs a Christian ministry in California with her husband Keith, has written about how her daughter's fame has had an effect on her life.

Perry's career took off with the single I Kissed a Girl and she is known for her cleavage baring outfits and marriage to reformed drug addict Russell Brand. The book is said to show how Perry's fame has impacted the family's Christian ministry in 'both negative and positive ways'.

A book proposal obtained by the New York Post newspaper states: "This memoir is her story, in her own words. Mary and Keith Hudson have been Christian Evangelists long before the world every heard of Katy Perry.

'Amid a torrent of negative reports from magazines and entertainment shows, Mary Hudson wants to tell 'her story' and dispel a lot of rumours. Katy's success has impacted her ministry in both negative and positive ways.'

'She loves her daughter very much and is very proud of her accomplishments, but disagrees with a lot of choices she makes in her career.'The book's co-writer T.I.Gray has refused to say what choices Hudson disagrees with. Perry, who has a 'Jesus' tattoo on her wrist, has refused to comment.

Mrs Hudson has previously said she was deeply ashamed of her daughter "promoting a sin". Of Perry's single I Kissed a Girl, she said: "I hate the song. It clearly promotes homosexuality and its message is shameful and disgusting.

"Katy knows how I feel. We are a very outspoken family and she knows how disappointed her father and I are. I can’t even listen to that song. "The first time I heard it I was in total shock. When it comes on the radio I bow my head and pray."
