Sigh, Weezer. What’s going on? With all the shenanigans they’ve been throwing at us like naming their album Raditude, using a flying dog as the cover art, and offering up a free Wuggie, this one goes down in the books.
In an interview with Buzznet (via P4k), Rivers Cuomo has let the word slip in regards to a partnership with none other than the real-life-”Look at me!”-barbie doll, Katy Perry.
Perry is currently working on her sophomore album to One of the Boys and Cuomo is giving her a hand in writing and recording. (So, maybe she and her team won’t steal a song again.
As for more Weezer news, their iTunes pass for $19.99 officially launched on Tuesday, October 13, and purchasers will be getting weekly material from now until November 24th, including the cover of The Clash’s “Should I Stay or Should I Go” and a deluxe version of Raditude.
