Putting up a raunchy picture of aspiring singer Sky Ferreira on her Twitter page, Katy Perry has caused an uproar among her fans. On Monday, February 8, the "I Kissed A Girl" hitmaker faced the backlash over the obscene photo when several angry fans harshly criticized her because Sky is still only 17 years of age.

One of her followers tweeted, "What's going on Katy? What's happened to your class?" Another commented, "Shame on you Katy Perry for contributing to a minor??

Thought you were cool but I see YOU ARE NOT!! That could be my kid?? Not a Class Act in my book!" Blogger Perez Hilton also contributed a response, writing "She can't be a hot mess already! She's not even 18!"

Perry sparked the negative comments after she posted a photo of Sky sitting with a bottle carefully placed between her legs, covering her modesty.

Along with the pic, she tweeted,"I like em right before they're famous... Fresh meeeat."The picture has since been put down, and the 25-year-old wrote to Sky, "I didn't know I had the power to get popstars grounded! Amazesack!"

Sky Ferreira has been signed by EMI in July 2009. She is rumored to be collaborating with Britney Spears on a 90s-style electro track for her debut album. Katy Perry, in the meantime, is a nominee of Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 52nd Grammy Awards. On the gala ceremony held on Sunday, January 31, it was unraveled that she lost the title to Beyonce Knowles.
